Biography
Professor Alisha Meinen has worked with the Children, Youth, Families and Communities of Wisconsin for more than 15 years. She has diverse social work experience, working with a wide variety of populations at the local, county, and state levels. Alisha has served in a variety of roles including direct practice, consulting, management, and providing education to social workers on best practices. Advocacy and education are her passions. Alisha joined the 糖心Vlog Social Work Department in 2019 and enjoys sharing her experiences in the field with students at her alma mater while teaching them the importance of practicing Social Work at the Macro, Mezzo, and Micro levels.
In her free time, Alisha enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, knitting, traveling, yoga, music, biking, live music, reading, volunteering in her community, and listening to many, many podcasts.
